The Seeker (Dark Psychic Replacement)#3382

Other than claiming to be the Good counterpart, I never really understood why The Dark Psychic and The Scout were just the Evil counterparts of The Psychic and The Spy, and that the barely help the evil team unless you get lucky and find The Murderer, which is just rng based. I understand thisll makes The Psychic easily cleared, but itll atleast add a more original role into the game rather than just being a copy of another.

The Seeker (Evil)
This role is incompatible with The Assassin.
Similar to The Assassin, The Seeker will know who The Murderer is. You cannot seek The Murderer.

The Seeker has the ability to ability to view a player each night, gaining a clue on what the role of the chosen player could possibly be. They cannot view the same person twice in a row. The clue they are given for example could say, “[PLAYER NAME] could be: Survivor, Muffin Man, or Ambusher.” You can add this to your journal.
Every clue is guaranteed to have the first clue labelled as Survivor no matter who you check. The 2nd clue will almost always be a Good role, sometimes displaying Clown instead of a Good role, and the 3rd clue will always display an Evil role. The clues can also display incompatible roles like Spy, even if the round has a Psychic instead. If you seek a person a second time and the same role appears for them twice, then that isnt guarentted they are that role, similar to The Detective, however if you check the same person for the 3rd time and the role appears again, they are guarenteed to be that role.

Isn’t most of the game RNG based though? Medic, Witch, and Scout/Spy are about guessing who is going to use their abilities on another person, for example.

I think the Dark Psychic and Scout are there to give the Evil Team information roles as well, so the Evil Team gets similar advantages to the Good Team.

Still a pretty cool idea though, especially since I was thinking of a Dark Detective role in the game, so that kinda makes me think of that.

I think you’re confusing RNG and Luck, this role is Straight RNG. So I’m out of the shark tank.

Oh yeah, ur right

the thing is though youll almost never be able to help the team with your clues unless you know who the murderer is.

Its a lot easier with dp since if you read someone evil you can just note them youre on their team

but scouts purpose is to pretty much find out who used what ability and thats useless if you dont have the murderer to forward the clues to

and notes are an unreliable way of communicating anyways
