Role Ideas Dump & Gameplay Mechanics#3339

Gameplay add: After voting time, voted player will have a final chance to say their rebuttal. No one can speak except them. After that, People can agree or disagree if they get yeeted out. (This also avoid the game randomly yeeting people during ties & no votes)

Role: Con Artist (Con)
Team: Evil
Abilities: During the day, they can select a player to copy their abilities. The Con can’t steal the CI, murderer and assasin’s ability. Everyday, Con artist’s ability resets and can select a new person to copy. (Yes, double heals, double muffins, double everything except kills. If they stole twins, he will know both and literally be triplets. Ofc, this expires)

Role: Counterintelligence (CI)
Team: Good
Rarity: Guaranteed every game
Ability: Evil team’s name will be revealed to the CI if they used their abilities on them (except murderer and assasin). CI is still subjected to hex and assasination. Once hexxed, the CI can’t know the name of any evil team who used their abilities on him.

Role: Tailor
Team: Neutral
Ability: Dress up as everyone’s role! You can’t use their abilities tho… (except survivor… it’s the default)
Win condition: Guess the entire good team or evil team’s team composition and wear their roles. Example: evil team’s team comp: Murderer, Assasin, Witch. Good team: detective, medic, psychic, muffin man… Becareful, if u dress up as evil, psychic can read you as evil or appear on detective’s evil note. Your choice, risk of being killed or risk being voted out! Js stay alive for 3 or 4 days and you win.

Role: Politician
Team: Good
Abilities: You can avoid being voted out with just one trade off: You will be revealed to everyone. But, You will know who voted you, who agreed and who didn’t.

Role: Corrupt politician
Team: Evil
Abilities: Same as (good) politician. but instead of knowing who voted u, ur vote is counted twice. Once u get voted out, you will be revealed as “politician” so ure still a target to murderers.

Rework: Twins
Team: Good
Abilities: What happens to twin 1 will happen to twin 2 instead. What happens to twin 2 will happen to twin 1 instead. When that happened the name of the twins will be revealed: “Murderer killed twin 1 who mistook them for twin 2”. You look so much alike that people confuses u from one another! (seriously tho, twins are js pretty bad for the good team… their boon is literally js they can trust one another. while their flaw is to give a bonus kill.) This way twins can still be confirmed by everyone but their role will change to survivor ones their twin is dead.

Role: Spirit
Team: Neutral
Abilities: Every night, choose someone to posses. If you die, you will take over your last target’s character. You can also access their journal but not their abilities.
Win condition: Stay alive

Role: Exorcist
Team: Neutral
Abilities: You can only use your ability once. You can select a person during the day. That person will die after voting round. Unless a spirit is possessing the body.
Win condition: You should banish the ghost with ur ability. Banishing a player who’s not been possessed will be an automatic lose and that player will die.
(They are not good/evil because spirit can still possess evil team even murd. and exorcist still can kill good people)

I read some similar role suggestions and reviews so here’s an edit:
Edit to spirit and exorcist
Spirit abilities: After your death, in the span of two nights you must possess one living player. You will take control of their avatar gaining access to their journal but not their abilities. If the character u possessed died, u go back from being ghost.
Win condition: Don’t get banished.

Exorcist: You can only use your ability once. You can select a person during discussion/during the night. That person will die after voting round unless a spirit is possessing the body. You can banish dead people too. You will hear a wailing sound at night if the spirit is on the graveyard. Otherwise, the spirit is alive. (Even people who left will have a “banish” button. js pray that spirit won’t die the first night)
