This may be a little unbalanced, but I think it’s a cool idea
Cannot be in the same game as Assassin/Dark Psychic
Passives:
You know who all your teammates are, but not their roles.
Your notes have a 50% Chance of dropping instead of 20%, so sharing notes is not recommended. (removing them outright might be better to eliminate rng, but idk)
If you go 2 nights without being linked with someone, you die (linking is explained later).
Abilities: During the night, you can choose one person to link to, and another to protect. These cannot be the same person.
When you link to someone, your lives will be connected in a “twin-like” fashion. If the person you’re linked with dies, you die aswell, but if you die, the linked person survives as normal. The person is never notified that you’re linked with them. You can change who you’re linked with, but you have to first unlink with them, which wastes a night.
You can also choose someone to protect (which is completely optional). If the person you protect is evil, they will appear in psychic logs as good. They will also appear in the “At least one of these players is good” category. The person also won’t appear on spy bugs if they visit someone. You can only protect the same person a total of 2 times. If you unlink with someone while you are protecting another person, they will no longer be protected until you link with someone again.
However, you may also “protect” people on the good team so that they appear evil in psychic readings and detective logs, etc,. You can only do this once per good/neutral person though.
When you link or protect someone, you can still appear in spy bugs.
The message if your link gets voted out: “Joe has been voted out. Their symbiote, Bob, will also be eliminated.
The message if your link gets killed: Joe has died from the (role who killed him). Their symbiote, Bob, has also been killed.
(I know revealing the role automatically ruins some of the mystery, but I think it would be too misleading for people to assume they were twins. If you die while unlinked, or if you get killed directly, your role won’t be revealed.)
