Stickers (Quick-Chat Rework)#3275
Idk how to start this, so lets go with some background/reason. Quick-Chat was a short lived feature added to Flicker in order to allow those unable chat/chat with everyone in the server communicate. Doing things such as allowing players to give clues, coordinate votes, or just express themselves via the jokes implemented. Quick-Chat was originally first approved by roblox months back and worked well. However, roblox has implemented changes, a major one being the limit of presets, basically different messages one could send. Two of these being their limit of 12 presets as well as not allowing “Fill in the Blank” presets (as the preset would then actas multiple rather than 1). Both being what Flicker has obviously survived on. This is a big issue for a large group of players. Flicker needs a change.
As seen in the title, the idea is to use “Stickers” basically custom decals that would shortly display over someones head. The idea is a player would be able to post 1 or more Stickers at a time to communicate to other players.
This however would have to come with a few small changes. Players would no longer be refered to as #1-#15 as the known rules behind stickers do not allow this. Players would be reffered to a shapes or colors, perferably either or. And there would be stickers asociated with this, such as a green sticker for one player and a red for another.
An Example in regards to what was explained above would be: ‘Psychic Vinny sees Annie as Evil, Annie is the color purple. So Vinny uses a “Psychic Evil” Sticker and a “purple” sticker to say Annie is Evil.’
Problems/Limitations:
As allready Covered, Stickers cannot be Numbers. Stickers cannot also be individual letters/characters/punctuation.
Stickers cannot be Social Communication orriented, Stickers such as “hi, hello, hey, Yes, and No” would not be allowed.
Finally there is the limitation of Roblox and their lack of specification on the topic of stickers. Limitations above are safety measures in accordance with what I have read when scrolling through Dev Forums.
Finally Finally Extra Notes: This suggestion would take time, Stickers are ofc Art and art takes time.
The idea is based around DW’s sticker system, and will change based on how Roblox reacts to DW and their System.
