Distorter
Evil Team
Summary: You are a powerful disruptor that can warp information.
Ability: You can cause a distortion at night. The Detective will receive a clue with the alignment of the clue changed(For example, if their original clue is “At least one of these players is Evil: Amani, Lukey, Thomas” their clue will change to “At least one of these players is Good: Amani, Thomas” It will select two random names from the original list). The psychic(and its dark psychic counterpart) will get a reading of the distorted alignment(Evil to Good, Good to Evil). The spy(and its scout counterpart) will receive 0-3 visitors that is randomly chosen, regardless if their target is actually visited or not.
You can cause a distortion twice per game.
Goal: Eliminate GOOD team.
How this role would affect my other role ideas:
Coroner: If a Coroner performs an autopsy, they will receive a random role that they will be unable to use with their alternate night ability(survivor, twin, clown, savior, all evil roles). Also, in the following day, they will get the alignment of everyone that died being changed in a similar fashion to Psychic. If a coroner uses a detective/psychic/spy, their results will be changed as described above. A distortion will not affect using other roles.
Judge: The votes they see on the following day will be scrambled. If there were 3 people voting against the most voted person, their results will be changed to 3 randomly chosen people voting against the most voted person. The rest of the votes will be voting against random people or abstaining, as long as someone else’s votes in the scrambled results does not exceed 3. The only result that will not be scrambled will be their own vote. If they reveal on the same night you cause a distortion, the revealed result will still be normal.
Schemer: Unaffected. Also, they will know when you use your distortion.
Purpose of role: Currently, the information given by Psychic and Spy is just too accurate. If one of those roles finds an Evil and accuses them, the Evil role has no way of being able to talk their way out of the accusation other than saying the Psychic/Spy is lying(which almost never works out). The game is immediately over for you if you were detected by the Psychic/Spy. With the addition of this role, the Psychic/Spy needs to be more hesitant before directly accusing someone because their information can be distorted, which gives the accused more leeway to talk their way out. There’s also no role that is similar to this idea, so I think that this role will fill the niche perfectly.

Considering this distorts both good and evil, shouldn’t this be neutral instead?
@Koro Sensei No, it wouldn’t. A neutral role requires a unique win condition, and this role would lack a win condition if it was changed to Neutral. Also, Detective/Psychic/Spy is more likely to immediately say their accusations to everyone while Dark Psychic/Scout will keep their information to themselves, therefore the distortion will affect the Good Team much more than Evil.
and what does it do once all sleuth roles are dead?
